On his 123 th Birth Anniversary. About : Raja Ravi Varma was born on 29/04/1848 at Killimanoor ( now part of Trivandrum). He died on 02/10/1906 at Attingal (near Trivandrum) India. Raja Ravi Varma the great Indian artist, he was the founder of painting school. He won the first prize in the Exhibition held in Madras in 1873. he is the father of Modern Indian Art.
